Wythenshawe Hospital Extension and Theatres

We achieved a zero defects handover on completion of this new 44 bed ward including 2 operating theatres. We stripped out existing fittings over two floors in the A& E department to make way for new hospital wards, operating theatres and an R & D unit.

Widnes Healthcare Village

The health and social care village in Widnes comprised five high security mental health buildings. We were appointed ‘Fit-out contractor’ and worked on all buildings simultaneously employing traditional forms of roof construction and anti-ligature internal finishes, in many cases designed in-house. The fit out included all finishes to bedrooms, communal areas, offices, reception and special restraint areas to all buildings. We also completed the external works and landscaping to the village.

Freemont were appointed a Primary Supply Chain Partner under Procure21 to undertake works comprising 14 ‘Tasks’ around the entire hospital site. Each task was managed separately under the NEC form of contract ranging from providing a new consultants office extension, refurbishing a busy main corridor, to, a design and build solution for a pioneering new specialist diabetes facility.

  Freemont remodelled and extended an existing ground floor office to provide 15 000 sq feet of new medical wards.   The construction process was complex due to its location and proximity to existing operating theatres and intensive care units and we employed the latest construction techniques to ensure minimum noise and vibration. We remodelled two new operating theatres and pre-med rooms. Freemont worked on the third floor of an existing hospital wing carrying out demolition of an existing ward whilst operating theatres were above, below and alongside the site.
